Summer Route

It is quintessentially the circular route of the Bierzo Mountain, going through unforgettable natural values, landscapes and villages. The route is about 310 km long and a cumulated vertical drop of 11400 meters between the 450m of the Sil river and the 1800 meters of the Falda del Catoute, 1600 meters of the Los Ancares mountain (declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO) and the 1300 meters of the Tebaida and the Aquilian Mountains (marked as Location of Community Interest and Special Protection Area for Birds).

  • Designed for experienced sportspeople who often ride a mountain bike and also enjoy taking advantage of the unique views and landscapes that the route offers, with 75 to 85 km long stages.

  • Highly recommendable for all the people with an average physical condition, which want to enjoy a bike tour through the Bierzo Mountains, with 50 to 65 km long stages.

  • Comfortable option designed for those who have a week off, with 45 to 55 km long stages.

  • Week-long adventure. It is the best option to enjoy the Bierzo region, to get to know in detail the whole route and to taste the local cuisine. Shorter but very comfortable stages for all types of people who know how to ride a mountain bike. The stages are around 40 km long.

Winter Route

Also known as the “Caminos de Santiago” of the Bierzo region, is a lower altitude circular route designed with about 220 km and 5700 meters of cumulated vertical drop running through the intermediate mountains of the Bierzo region. Taking this route offers the incredible to cross some segments of the French way of the Camino de Santiago Francés (going through Valtuille and Villafranca del Bierzo), the Winter way of the Camino de Santiago (crossing Paradela de Muces and Priaranza), the Camino de Santiago Labaniego (passing by Igueña and Quintana de Fuseros) and the Forgotten way of the Camino de Santiago (between Igueña and Baltuille de Arriba, passing through Noceda, Librán, Toreno, Tombrio, Berlanga, Villabuena, entre among other small villages).

  • Designed for all types of people who often ride a mountain bike, but want to try a higher level and enjoy the unique views and landscapes that the route has to offer, with 40 to 65 km long stages.

  • It is the best option to enjoy the Bierzo region, to get to know in detail the whole route and to taste the local cuisine, with very comfortable 30 to 45 km long stages.
